ABOUT ME
GRAPHIC DESIGNER & ILLUSTRATOR
Hello! I'm Mason Lenk, a graphic designer and illustrator creating bold, expressive work inspired by historical styles, culture, and storytelling. I combine research and illustration to communicate ideas and leave a lasting impression on viewers.
I earned my B.F.A. in Communication Design at the University of North Texas, with minors in Marketing and Art History. During my time at UNT, I worked as a graphic designer at Design Works, creating promotional materials, original illustrations, and merchandise for the Design Works Pop-Up Shop, while also working with walk-in clients on custom projects.
My work has earned recognition from Graphis New Talent, where "Under the Monkey's Thumb" received an Honorable Mention in 2025. I also illustrated for Design Works' "Luckymon Series 1 & 2," which won first place in the Miscellaneous category of the 2026 ACUI Steal This Idea competition.
My interests span branding, packaging, illustration, and campaign design. One project I'm particularly proud of is my Warheads packaging system, which reflects my interest in expressive illustration and research-driven design. By researching graffiti artists and illustration styles, I developed a visual identity that balances the brand's loud personality with clean illustrations, fruit mascots, and halftone patterns.
Outside of design, I enjoy comic and fantasy films, basketball, and Minecraft.
